This is basically a CMM (Contextual Menu Module) that will "touch" a file, folder or even a volume in the Finder with various options. If you are at all familiar with UNIX you know that it features a "touch" command which sets the specified object's modification date/time to the current date/time. The Touch CMM does the same and more. Touch resets the creation, modification, last access and last backup dates of the object. Touch CMM also features an option called "Touch @ Noon" which sets the object's creation, modification, last access and last backup date/time to the current day and the time to 12 Noon. This is usually applied to software distributions for historical reasons on the Mac side. Lastly you can use "Touch Random" which will set the modification date forwards or backwards randomly several days in time. These last two options makes it easy to "set" a file or folder to a current or future creation date if you are testing backup or security software. TouchCM does not process sub-folders or their contents. You can however make multiple selections in a folder and touch them all at one time. What's New: No longer hangs when touching more than 5 items at a time in the Finder (AppleEvent blocking issue). | |
