The Nikon Scan 4.0.1 update improves operation of Nikon Scan 4 on Mac OS X and is not necessary for users operating under Mac OS 9. After upgrading to version 4.0.1, The Nikon Scan 4 splash displayed when Nikon Scan is launched or when 'About Nikon Scan...' is selected from the Nikon Scan 4 menu will continue to read Version: 4.0.0 in the bottom right corner.
