Ardiem is the evolution of a little utility called "CocoaEject". The program is designed to provide simple methods for the user to manage the CD drives connected to their system. Ardiem's features include: Complete support for hot-swappable devices An easily extendable plugin based system for adding support to new types of devices in the future User selectable system-wide keystrokes for opening/ejecting any of the detected drives A status icon in the bar allowing quick and easy access to all detected drives What's New: Version 1.0.7b: [Known Issue] There is an issue with some Yamaha writable drives. The open tray state is not properly detected on the affected drives and will not shut properly. Known affected drives: Yamaha CRW8424S Yamaha CRW8824E Yamaha CRW8424S [Known Issue] Currently only supports devices supported by Apple's DiscBurn frameworks. This will be fixed with a new plugin using I/O Kit to detect drives. [Known Issue] F14 and F15 keys are not usable. No key events are broadcasted by the OS for these two keys so the key shortcut library is unable to reconize them. [Note] Began integration of I/O Kit properties into the plugin. Barring major issues non-writable devices should be supported within the next release or two. [Bugfix] Key changes were not saved on shutdown/logout. [Bugfix] F Keys were not being saved. Changed internal representation of modifers from ints to longs to fix. [Bugfix][IMPORTANT] Changed the UID selection. ATAPI - UID is the device's serial number FireWire - UID is the bridge's GUID USB - Unable to determine a constant propery unique to the USB device. Currently using the drive's firmware revision. Please note that for the SCSI UID, your current settings will be lost if you move it to a different SCSI ID or SCSI chain. The program is designed to fallback to | |
