APOD Grabber also shows you all the proper credits, explanations/descriptions, and provides a link to the viewed image?s specific web page. You can also set the current image as your desktop picture with the click of a button. Features include: Simple, clean, clear and intuitive interface. Save images to your drive with the click of a button. Set images as your desktop picture with the click of a button. Browse over 7 years of NASA images (over 2500). Built-in application version checking. What's New: Version 1.1 fixes the following: Overall application speed increased quite a bit (more noticeable on slow systems). Image file loading is much faster. Totally reworked application preferences to the more modern OS X appearance. APOD Grabber can now remember window size and position (set via the Preferences). You can now specify what application downloaded images should be associated with when double-clicked in the Finder (GraphicConverter, ImageReady, Photoshop, or Preview). Added support for proxy firewalls (though SOCKS proxies are not supported). Added contextual menus to the information drawer allowing you to go to the image's web page, copy the link to the Clipboard, or copy the link to your default email client. All 2994 (plus) images are now viewable, and those reported to cause crashes no longer do (support for animated GIF images will be implemented in the next minor update (coming soon)). You can now cancel an image download by pressing command-period. Loads of other under-the-hood fixes, including the initial code-base for adding a complete index list of images, favorites, and more! |  |
