MacMegaPOV (formerly UVPov, SuperPatch, and MultiPatch) is a cooperative work by members of the POV-Ray community. This is an unofficial compile of POV-Ray. Do not ask the POV-Team (with the exception of Nathan Kopp) for help with this. POV-Ray is a ray tracer, computer graphics software that can create amazing photo-realistic computer-generated images and animations. It uses an easy scene description language. This text file containing information of objects, lighting, texture, camera, etc., can be written in any ASCII editor, but with MacMegaPOV it is easier and faster and it includes some of the most recent patches. What's New: Version 1.1: This version is based on POV-Ray 3.6.1 and has several patches integrated, greatly expanding the possibilities of POV-Ray. Have a look at some demo images. Some of the included patches are: By Christophe Bouffartigue : cloth simulation; By Chris Colefax : new MegaPOV icon; By Christoph Hormann : custom radiosity sampling directions, HDR image write support, mechanics simulation system, normal modifier for transforms, randomized radiosity sampling directions; By Chris Huff : displace warp, glow, listed pattern, noise_pigment, #set; By Jurjen : transparant inverted normals; By Kari Kivisalo : film exposure simulation; By Nathan Kopp : motion blur, unofficial version blocking; By Mael : angle of incidence pattern, high dynamic range image, projection pattern; By Micha Riser : inside test for boundings; By Wlodimierz ABX Skiba : additional tokens in functions, akima-spline, array spline, camera-view, f_triangle function, frame_step, polynomial solver in parser, size of image, sor_spline, tcb-spline, type checking, user-defined camera, vector dimension, x-splines ; By Smellenbergh : text alignment, time and date functions, timer functions; By Massimo Valentini : some bugfixes; By Thoma Willhalm : media extension to fake fur; More about recent changes here. It has a user friendly interface. It has a built in sc | |
