BLT (Braxton's Link Tester) is a freeware link checking program for Mac OS X. It has a very small footprint (under 250KB), but because of its extremely powerful foundation it really packs a punch. It can check sites both online and offline, create HTML and CSV reports, and can even be set up to check sites on a regular basis. What's New: Version 0.2 fixes the following: Added "Export..." function to create reports: Export as HTML (see example). Export as CSV (Comma Separated Values). Added Timed Out URL support. Added Forbidden URL support. Added Line Numbers support. Broadened the definition of an 'recursable script'. Completely redesigned the About Window. Will match links/objects in files much more accurately now. Fixed Base HREF support (for real this time!). Fixed bug where leaving off the the trailing / on certain starting locations would cause the link to fail. Fixed some occurrences where error sheets would look funky until you clicked on them (threading issue). Fixed the bug in the "Browse..." sheet. Renamed some of the column titles to make them more generic. The progress bar is now invisible when BLT isn't working. Columns are now rearrangeable and sortable. "BLT Help" under the Help menu now opens the manual. Fixed some occurrences where double clicking the items in the results table wouldn't work correctly. Added contextual menus to the results table: Copy Item To Clipboard Reveal In Finder/Open In Browser/Open In Email Program Under the hood changes: LOTS of code cleaning and rewriting. Added Report Generator Script (reportgenerator.pl). Standardized all outgoing information from the link checker script. The Link Checker Script uses a lot more associative arrays to speed things up. Much better URL Result Cache Renamed all the image files to better reflect their content. | |
